As a student of music it is important to realise that hard work and practice does not happen by itself. To become a professional musician takes many hours of devoted practice time (no matter how talented one might be). Having a general intellectual understanding of music and theory is not enough. Practical application is all that counts in the end.
Matt Keegan enjoys teaching but also takes his responsibilities as a musical mentor very seriously. He expects his students to treat him, themselves and the music with love and respect.
It is the students responsibility to:
- Obtain relevant literature suggested by Matt.
- Listen and or watch recommended listening material.
- Practice suggested material regularly.
24 hours notice must be given for lesson cancellations. Charges may otherwise apply at Matt’s discretion.
